Artspace was founded in 1973 by parents who wanted more in school and out-of-school arts experiences for their children. Since then, we have worked with county schools to bring them performing and visual art in-school and after school programming, residencies, curriculum development and art exhibits involving preschool, elementary, middle and high school students.

Artspace's mission is to encourage and nurture the appreciation of and participation in the arts by offering programs and instruction; and by advocating the importance of the arts in education and in the community. Our gallery, art and music programs, special events and performances attract 1500 people annually.  Artspace serves approximately 300 students annually with weekly lessons and classes or workshops and intensives.

Each year, Artspace relies on the generosity of individuals and businesses to help us close the gap between operating expenses and earned income (tuition). Tuition fees do not cover the cost of operating expenses. We are grateful to those individuals and businesses who donate to the Annual Fund. These donations help to keep Artspace fiscally sound.

Every contributor is considered a member and is eligible to participate in our annual Members Exhibit.
Contribute at the $50 level (or higher) and you are entitled to a 5% discount on classes offered in this catalog. Contribute at the $100 level or higher and you will receive a discount on space rental at Artspace.
